    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Ream is traveling to Charlotte this week to finalize the deal with the Eastern Conference side. The 36-year-old will link-up with ex-Aston Villa manager Dean Smith with The Crown, who are looking to bolster their roster this window ahead of a late-season push up the standings.

Ream will not take up a Designated Player slot, sources tell GOAL. Currently, forward Karol Swiderski is the lone senior DP on the roster, while attacker Liel Abada takes up a Young DP slot. They are looking to fill their third and final senior slot this summer window as well.
