Rodri knows a thing or two about playing with the best footballers in the planet after winning countless titles with Spain and Manchester City. The midfielder has been asked for his verdict on who is the greatest of all time and, perhaps surprisingly, did not go for either Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. Instead, Rodri picked Kevin De Bruyne when asked by GOAL for his GOAT.

Rodri isn’t the only City player to have described De Bruyne as the very best. Jack Grealish dubbed the Belgian the GOAT back in January after he produced a stunning display against Newcastle on his return to action after injury. De Bruyne is certainly one of the greatest players the Premier League has ever seen and has already won six league titles, two FA Cups and the Champions League with the Cityzens.

Rodri was chatting at the PFA awards where team-mate Phil Foden scooped the Men’s PFA Players’ Player of the Year award, beating the Spaniard and Erling Haaland to the top prize. Rodri was named in the Team of the Year along with City stars Foden, Haaland and Kyle Walker.
