The Brazil international has been out of action since October after suffering a tear in his anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus during international duty. It has been a cumbersome journey to recover from as the forward is still not match fit.
“There are days that are difficult, there are days that I want to give up,” Neymar wrote after suffering the injury. Going through all of this is difficult. But this is a warrior who will not give up until I achieve my goals! God is my rock and my source of strength. We shall keep battling every day.”
Al-Hilal supporters are eager for Neymar to return to the field as his protracted recuperation draws to a close. A glimmer of hope has emerged as Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim disclosed that Neymar should be ready for action by the middle of September.
Al-Hilal won the Saudi Pro League last season despite playing without Neymar for the most of the campaign. But with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr hoping to win the trophy for the first time since the 2018–19 campaign, his presence is highly sought for.Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim gave them hope when he said that Neymar should be ready to play by the middle of September.
